About the DCA

On the 20th January, 2018, BeHiver proudly launched the Department of Contemporary Arts. The DCA is a professional arts platform to further support BeHivers’ Mission to :Humanize conversations and focus on self-awareness.

All artforms and practitioners from across India and the world are welcome into the BeHiver DCA to find new audiences, new professional development opportunities and new peers to share and collaborate with – nationally and internationally.  Audiences will experience some of the best arts that India and the world has to offer.

The DCA is a Centre for Excellence.

It facilitates collaborations and partnerships of local and international artists and arts workers.It is a hub for the exchange of ideas, information, art, language and other aspects of culture by artists of the world to explore and promote their craft and the fundamental necessity of arts and culture in a healthy society. It is an non-discriminating arts organisation exploring contemporary and innovative imaginings of contemporary global artists.

At the core of BeHiver DCA are three main areas of focus:

Professional development opportunities through an extensive workshop program catering to the demands of the Arts Industry, Artists and Arts Management.Producing professional arts events, productions, exhibitions, concerts and forums, focusing on innovations of Artists’ practice.Development of festival and events environments for the presentation of established and emerging artists and their work
